It's built for comedy

There's already a gazillion standalone ticketing systems out there, and they are close to what you need but still do some weird things. Because they are trying to satisfy all different types of events for all over the world. Funny Little Shows was built by people who've performed comedy (poorly), organised gigs small through to entire comedy festivals. We've taken all those pain points and given you a solution.

For example, Comp Tickets. Those free tickets for Artists and Promoters and the Venue. We have an entire module that lets you keep track of who they are allocated to, and when confirmed actually issues the ticket, complete with reporting so you can go back to your sponsors and remind them what a good time they had at all the gigs they went to.

We also know some of your venues have their own ticketing system, you're not always going to sell tickets through Funny Little Shows (as much as we'd love you to). We can handle that, and that Comp Ticket process even provides the venue box office with a portal for them to view the list of Comp Tickets that need actioning - or releasing back to sale. If you're selling tickets externally, simply paste the URL into the gig info and your punters go there to buy instead. You can mix and match internal vs external ticketing sales across your gigs, we're flexible.

It's the same for website platforms - Squarespace, Wordpress, GoDaddy, Wix. They are massive for a reason, but they are also trying to be everything to everyone. We've watched too many promoters wrestle with WordPress templates that get them close but not quite to what they want. With Funny Little Shows you'll have your own event-centric website layout that is optimised for your gig listings. Again we've used this for small promoters through to large comedy festivals and have a range of powerful features that make that process as simple as possible, like automatically delisting your gigs once they've happened, or manually controlling the sort order of the home page listings. You'll get your own custom branded template optimised for mobile layouts that is fast and handles enormous events.

The big ticketing platforms love to target your punters with other gigs in their area, either with marketing emails or a searchable page of all the promoters across their platform. We want to help you keep your punters laughing and coming back. We don't want to see them distracted and heading off to something else. It might not even be a comedy gig, gross. Your data is your data, and we won't promote gigs to your punters and we don't have a big old menu of all gigs for them to choose from. You'll be able to browse a fast mobile friendly website to find the gigs that you want to see. A straightforward checkout process handled by Stripe means your credit card details are safe, and easy-as when you can use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link.

With tickets delivered via email, you simply present the QR code at the door for entry. If you don't have the email handy, they can look you up by name. Your details are stored securely in Australia and only accessible to authorised users associated with the even promoter running the gig. Funny Little Shows will not spam you for other gigs in your area, and you are in control over opting in to receive promotional emails in the first place.

You can have the tickets sent to you again with our resend feature. Download the PDF and print it off if you prefer the paper copy, we don't judge.

What is in it for venues?

If you're a venue hosting comedy gigs by one of these awesome comedy promoters, you can use the mobile app to monitor sales, scan QR codes and check punters in / out of the venue as needed. Even handle door sales if that's part of your agreement with the promoter.

If you're a venue that is also the promoter and runs regular events, Funny Little Shows could be your solution for your own website and event needs. Our system is flexible and handles a single venue scenario (with or without multiple rooms), through to touring comedians in different country towns and large comedy festivals in multiple venues and rooms per night over weeks.

The content management engine of Funny Little Shows lets you create custom pages so you could easily publish menus, image galleries and more on your website to promote your venue and get punters in there. The ticketing engine allows for non-ticketing items to be purchased, such as meals and cheese boards. Just kidding, a cheese board is a meal. But you get it. Why not collect all those meal orders in advance when punters buy tickets to the gig so your kitchen is ready to roll.
